Astrological charts and birth charts can both give you valuable information about your personality and your future. The astrological chart and birth chart are one in the same and  represent the position of the sun and moon at the time you were born.  Planets occupy a specific zodiac sign at any given moment in time and this placement is what can determine your behavior and personality. 

Each zodiac sign carries with it certain characteristics.  The twelve signs of the zodiac are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.  Aries is the baby of the zodiac and first on the chart, even though it represents mid-March through mid-April, the third and fourth months of our calendar year.  Each sign represents mid month to mid month in the order you see them above.  So following Aries is Taurus mid-april to mid-may.  It is actually the 20^th or 21^st of each month that the sign changes.  It is also remarkable when you match zodiac signs of people and notice the characteristic they have with the zodiac’s main characteristics.  You might meet someone who is a leader, kind of bossy, full of life and a go getter.  You might find out they were born at the end of March and are an Aries.  If you read about the sign of Aries you will realize these are all characteristics of Aries.  But does that mean that all people born under the sign of Aries have the same personality? 

Of course not.  The zodiac signs mentioned are generally your Sun sign.  A complete astrological chart contains all the positions of all the other planets at the time of your birth.  Each planet governs a certain aspect of your life.  For example your Moon sign govern you love life and is a completely different sign from your Sun sign.  That same person with a Sun sign of Aries may have a moon sign of Leo, which means when it comes to love they roar!!
